With an ever bubbling coffee scene in Dubai, it’s often hard to pick one place to head to get the much needed cup of joe. Here are few of our favourites, and one of these might become your go to cafe too. One for the love of coffeeeee!
- 21 Grams Dubai – Urban Balkan Bistro
A Cosy little Balkan Bistro on Umm Suqeim located in the Park Regis Boutique Hotel. Serving Balkan-inspired dishes – the food, the space, the ambiance, to the intricate details etched on their serving platters… the first thing you will notice as you walk-in is the love and care put into every little aspect. The cold brew paired with their perfectly poached eggs is an absolute must try. The bread here is freshly baked. In short everything here is curated to bring to you a soulful urban bistro experience.
Tip: if you headed here do try their desserts. We absolutely love the Chocolate Baklava.

- Boston Lane at The Courtyard
Inspired by Melbourne’s laneway coffee culture, Boston Lane is one of the cutest and trendiest cafes in Dubai (think bohemian backyard, mosaic floors and complete with lot and lots of flowers). We love the personalised coffee cups and can’t stop raving about the healthy menu options (the smashed Avo Sandwich… yumm). A quick round of shopping after a hearty at The Collective and Tribe completes the experience. As for the kids, they will simply enjoy running around this place. Need we say more!

- Common Grounds at Mall Of The Emirates
Situated at the heart of Mall Of The Emirates, Common Grounds is a speciality coffee house with a big heart. Serving a wholesome healthy menu, it is the kind of place you fall in love with at first visit. What makes this place even better – they are now serving a full fledged kids menu (ah, mommy don’t be surprised to see your little one gobble down that healthy Acai bowl). The other healthy options that your kids can pick from include peanut butter toasties to grilled marshmallows. As for the grown ups, the healthy choices range from prawn tacos to spicy chicken to pan-fried salmon with quinoa and one too many which will require multiple visits to taste everything you want to try on the menu. Just the excuse we need to hit this cafe.

- Dubai Coffee Museum
This one is for serious coffee drinkers. A small but quaint place and is truly a coffee lovers paradise. Conveniently located in the Heritage village, at Bastakiya, old Dubai and is close to Arabian Tea House. This place has two floors, in the ground floor you will find different gadgets and machines used to make coffee (be ready to surprised by the mind blowing collection here) and a small place to buy gifts. On the top floor is the cafe which serves different blends. Complete with books and other material which shares the history of coffee and its origins. Very close to Dubai Museum. We recommend you make it a day out with family to make the most.

- Tom & Serg
Some places never get old and Tom & Serg is one such place. They have been around for a couple of years now and this industrial style cafe in Al Quoz is one of our absolute favourite pit stops. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee along with healthy sumptuous meal then this is the place to head to. Here, every dish is crafted with love and centered around wholesome fresh ingredients, the menu celebrates flavour at every opportunity. And what makes this place our favourite you ask? Well, we love the fact that this place has a kids corner on the first floor complete with Lego bricks, books, play area and more. Sit back, enjoy the food and the cuppa all while the kids are happily occupied.
